Sure a buggy game isn’t going to be any fun though i can still enjoy a basic retro style game over a MMO detailed/layered game since one you can simply pick up and play the other requires a lot of time commitment to get the most out of it. Personally for me as a 44 year old gamer, gaming has always been about the enjoyment factor over anything else. Most people will not see the minute differences in performance, gaming as a whole is at the level now it takes a dedicated analysis to truly see the differences in performance and this tells me everything i need to know…that anyone who really care about such things is mostly in it for the bragging rights over simply just enjoying playing games.Īs stated, i did not claim nobody cares about performance graphics but clearly the trend leans far more towards playability over high end graphics/performance. And yes it can do most of those things at once, perhaps not as well or as smoothly as again a truly powerful performance PC but still it can do it very well. I also know what i am talking about, yes the most powerful performance PC will clearly outmatch anything though a Series X is still on par with what is still considered a high end PC. This is definitely something that intrigues me enough to give me pause on going PC vs Console but not sure if it's enough. One thing I saw a lot of people say down below in the thread that I hadn't considered was the PS5 Controller with Haptic Feedback. So I think that it would handle the game well enough and play smoothly and that portable experience may end up being enough to sway me to the side of getting it on PC. Thank you all for the initial feedback! My laptop is a Lenovo Legion 5 (full details below). Ultimately, everyone is going to have their own preference for play format, but just wanted to see if others have started thinking about this as well and looked into pros / cons of either option. However, there is a certain appeal to me to get it on PC so I can play off my laptop (which would spec out to play the game smoothly) and take it with me anywhere I would want to play and if I was home, just connecting the laptop to the TV and playing as if it was on console as well. If I purchase it for PS5 it would seem to reason that this game would be tied to my home console and I'd have to be home to play it. But I have been thinking a lot about how I want to play this game. Obviously, the game is being made by Sony, so the initial thought would be PS5 is an obvious choice. I have a PS5 and Gaming Laptop - and am torn on what platform I'd like to get the game on initially. I was wondering if anyone has done any research yet or has any resources to help make the decision on which platform to get the game on. First and foremost, I am obviously SO excited about Hogwarts Legacy and cannot wait to play like I'm sure the rest of you also feel. ![]()
